The Sutton School of Art and Suoni per il Popolo are proud to present the largest ever exhibition of painted bedsheets and show a wide variety of Peter Schumann’s expertise as a painter, sculptor, musician, dancer, choreographer, writer, baker and director. The exhibit will also feature 100+ Documentary Films about the Bread and Puppet by Jerome Lipani
This exhibition is curated by local artist and dancer Vicki Tansey and Alexis Smith, B&P Puppeteer & Curatrix of nearly 40 years.

Gilles Ste-Croix of Cirque du Soleil presents Peter Schumman of the Bread and Puppet Theatre.
Performances by Peter Schumann, Alexis Smith, Bread and Puppet Musicians and special guests. Meet the artists, the curators and immerse yourself in this vibrant artistic movement that has shaped political theater for over half a century.

– Painting Exhibition: Featuring Schumann’s iconic works, filling the entire 20,000 sq ft space.
– Papier-Mâché Puppets: See the legendary puppets from Bread & Puppet’s performances, bringing political theater to life.
– Largest ever exhibition of Bread & Puppet press: Discover and order posters, publications, and affordable art directly from Bread & Puppet’s famous collection.
– Continuous Film Projections: Learn about the history of Bread & Puppet over the past 60 years, through a selection from
Jerome Lipani’s extensive archive of documentary films.
