FRIDAY NIGHT SHOW: MORALITY DEMONOLOGY
Fridays, June-August at 7pm
Puppet show! Puppet show! Bread & Puppet will present an indoor performance each Friday this summer in the Paper Maché Cathedral. The show will premiere in June and continue to evolve over the course of the summer. This year’s Friday Night Show: Morality Demonology.
Puppeteers are in a state of high alert. The commanders-in-chief of reality are not only assassinating truth but have declared war on the innocent everything of the world. Morality demons claim divine origin, govern the population with unidentified power, and oppress shamelessly and unaccountably with history-honored illegality. Under and oversized puppets now battle the insufferable demons and the tricks of political mayhem. The world, unaware of its upside-down situation, must be confronted!
After the show Bread & Puppet will serve its famous sourdough rye bread with aioli, and Bread & Puppet’s “Cheap Art” – books, posters, postcards, pamphlets and banners from the Bread & Puppet Press – will be for sale.
Please note that dogs are not permitted in the Paper Maché Cathedral.
Tickets: $15, no one turned away for lack of funds. Admission by donation upon arrival for kids 12 and under.
Want to be in the show? Join is in the Cathedral each Friday at 4pm for our volunteer rehearsal.
No show Friday, July 3 and Friday, August 28.
SUMMER CIRCUS & PAGEANT
Sundays, July 19-August 30 at 3pm
The one and only Bread & Puppet Circus and Pageant is back! Every Sunday from July 19 to August 31 at 3pm, join us in the circus field for a brand new circus crafted for this exact moment. Around 4:30pm a pageant will commence on the pageant field. As always, the afternoon will feature puppets big and small, acts serious and silly, and performances slapstick and sublime. Stilt dancers, paper maché beasts of all sizes, and a riotous brass band make a raucous, colorful spectacle of protest and celebration.
After the show Bread & Puppet will serve its famous sourdough rye bread with aioli, and Bread & Puppet’s “Cheap Art” – books, posters, postcards, pamphlets and banners from the Bread & Puppet Press – will be for sale.
While dogs are discouraged, well behaved dogs on leash are allowed towards the back and at the top of the amphitheater. Please bring your own water as there is none on site.
Tickets: $15, no one turned away for lack of funds. Admission by donation upon arrival for kids 12 and under.
*Tickets to the Friday, September 4 Fall Tour Kickoff Circus will go on sale soon.

We will put bread in your belly, garlic on your tongue, and political puppet shows in your mind. We will end the afternoon with a presentation of our last show of the season in the Paper Maché Cathedral. Be sure to dress warmly! The Museum and Cathedral are not heated!
