Art Auction/Fundraiser
Join Bread & Puppet on Friday July 28th at 7:00pm in the Paper Mache Cathedral behind the Bread & Puppet museum, for an Auction of paintings, collages and other artwork. Longtime Bread & Puppet performer and business manager Linda Elbow amassed an incredible collection of art over the past 40 years. She recently has had to move, and is now offering some of the finest pieces in her collection for sale. Proceeds will go to support the costs of her longterm care in a skilled healthcare facility. The vast collection includes work by Vermont artists including Don Sunseri, Elizabeth Nelson, Peter Schumann, and numerous GRACE artists; as well as pieces made by many members of the international Bread & Puppet community of performers and participants. Auctioneer extraordinaire Justin Lander will head up the proceedings. There will be snacks and drinks for sale.
