Join us for our end-of-season Political Leaf Peeping Extravaganza!
Bread and Puppet Theater ends its summer season with the traditional Political Leaf Peeping event on the Bread and Puppet farm in Glover on Sunday, September 24, from 2 to 5 pm.
Besides Shape Note singers, guest performers include Meredith Holch from East Hardwick with a cranky-poem, and the Gravy Strugglers from Sheffield. Peter Schumann will give an introduction to his post-apocalyptic masonite cuts series, including an interpretation of young Albrecht Dürer’s 15th century woodcuts.
At 4 pm, in the Dirt Floor Theater behind the Museum, the Lubberland Dance Company performs texts by Palestinian poet Mahmoud Darvish.
The traditional sourdough rye bread and aioli will be served during the afternoon.
The Bread and Puppet Museum continues to be open daily from 10 am to 6 pm until Nov 1.
