We currently have open dates betwen Oberlin College in Ohio (March 12) and Columbia College in Chicago (March 17)

We are also free between Kenyon College in Gambier, OH (26 March) and the 31st.

The University of Majd is an exhibit of 7 large latex paintings on lightweight fabric and 80 small flower paintings that are meant to surround or separate the panels.University of Majd.

I learned about Majd’s fate from his family whom I met on a recent visit (September 2007) to Ramallah. The text on the panels is from emails which Ed Mast of Seattle, an old friend of Majd’s family, sent home as the case unfolded. I used shroud fabric for the large paintings and discarded window shades and other scrap materials for the flowers to pay my respects to the gigantic garbage problem of Palestine.

Five panels measure approximately 12’ x 7’; one 7’ x 4’; the title panel 10’ x 5.5’.

The exhibit is available on loan for the price of shipping. If you are interested please email Linda Elbow at breadpup@together.net
